A Week of Stories: Literacy and Book Week

 News

Literacy and Book Week began this week with a staff character catwalk. Twelve groups of teachers and staff walked the red carpet at assembly to showcase their favorite stories, drawing cheers and laughs from students who enjoyed seeing the staff in character.

The schedule remains full of daily activities, including writers traveling to the Auckland Writers Festival for inspiration, and the whole school participated in D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read) sessions. Students are also competing in year-level Lit Quizzes, joining poetry contests with "Prof. Rasmussen", and listening to student authors share their work.

Whether it’s on the stage or on the page, something is happening every single day to celebrate the magic of reading.
