In the past few weeks, RI students have celebrated massive artistic success, showcasing their incredible talent at two major art exhibitions around Auckland. These achievements reflect the dedication and skill within our art program, guided by teacher Billie Sturgiss.
The first success was at the Auckland Middle School Art Exhibition at Silo Park. Our students’ work truly stood out among the fantastic displays, transforming the waterfront location into a vibrant hub of creativity. The event was a wonderful showcase for our young artists' collective effort.
Following this, our students achieved a major highlight at this year's NZ Sculpture on Shore with their magnificent exhibit, "The Happy Garden." This masterpiece featured stunning, individually crafted ceramic flowers blooming on a metal tree, earning praise from every spectator.
Our students' hard work paid off! "The Happy Garden" won the Highly Commended Prize, an honor that celebrates the creativity of our school.
The achievements at both Silo Park and NZ Sculpture on Shore highlight the exceptional artistic passion and skill, bringing tremendous pride to our school community.
